PhD - Queensland University of Technology BA (Hons) - University of Waterloo, Canada Krystina Benson taught as an Assistant Professor in Public Relations at Bond University, with a teaching focus in crisis communication, online advertising, media and new media theory and public speaking, amongst others. In March 2012, she was awarded her doctorate in media and communication from the Creative Industries Faculty at Queensland University of Technology. Her thesis, entitled: The Committee on Public Information (CPI): A transmedia war propaganda campaign, examines archival files of the CPI to learn more about the historical relationship between propaganda,popular culture and journalism. Krystina has over nine years professional experience in the field of media and communications in academic, corporate and administrative roles. In academia, she has held a number of positions in varied roles including lecturer, project officer, course materials developer, and research development officer. While working as a project manager for an online communication company, she worked in sectors including telecommunications, music, food and beverage, and government and partnered with a number of advertising and PR firms in planning and executing projects.
