I am an Associate Librarian at the University of Western Ontario and am currently
Head, Research & Instructional Services at the D.B. Weldon Library. I received my
MLIS from the University of Western Ontario in 2003. I began my career in academic
libraries as a science librarian at the University of Victoria in 2004, and I have been
at Western since 2006, first as a librarian for various science & engineering areas
in the Taylor Library and then as Head of R&IS in Weldon as of 2010.

My current research interests are related to the role of academic librarians. This
includes the professional identity of academic librarians and the specific role of
academic librarians as practitioner-researchers.
