Abstract

Increasingly rogue networks are using personal information that is posted on social media sites to conduct various forms of social engineering. In effect, cybercrimes are being propagated by the lack of education of community members who continue to post their full names, home addresses and telephone numbers without any specific privacy settings. This can lead to problems related to cyberstalking and stalking, even physical harm, and more commonly identity theft and credit card theft.
