Judas Armed and Dangerous
Warring States Papers (2010)

Abstract
The portrayal of Judas in the arrest scene in the Gospel of John (Jn18:3) is surprisingly different from that in the Synoptics. Here Judas is presented as both leading the arrest party and bearing arms. John's version of Judas is thus negatively enhanced from that in Luke, which already moves away from Mark and Matthew.
