About K. Jason Crandall

Dr. Jason Crandall received a B.S. in Physical Education (1996) from Western Kentucky University, an M.A. in Kinesiology (1999) with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology, and a Ph.D. in Exercise and Sport Science with concentrations in Counseling Psychology and Analyses and Development of Teaching Methods from the University of Utah (2004). While working on his Master’s, Dr. Crandall worked in a variety of health and fitness settings including personal training and a fitness consultant for clients with eating disorders. He also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant while pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of Utah. Dr. Crandall’s research areas include exercise and aging, workplace physical activity interventions, and exercise science pedagogy. In 2011, he created a health promotion program for older adults, Bingocize®, that is approved by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service’s Administration on Aging and the Healthy Communities Institute. Bingocize® has been replicated across the country and continues to be a main focus of his research. Dr. Crandall has taught undergraduate and graduate courses for Western Kentucky’s Exercise science program since 2013.
