Over 33 years experience in leadership roles within business, education, and military environments; 16.5 of those years in all areas of the Sales/Marketing discipline (Account Manager, Product Manager, Sales Engineer, Project Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Marketing Manager) with GTE/Verizon Communications, a Fortune 100 Corporation. Retired from GTE/Verizon in 2003 after 27 years with that corporation. Over 13 years teaching in adult education. Doctor of Business Administration - Marketing Specialization (D.B.A.) from Northcentral University (2010). Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Wake Forest University (1983). Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Speech/Drama from Carson-Newman College (1972).
