Quality of Life Assessment : an Outcome Estimation of Chinese Medical Treatment
Abstract
At present, quality of life (QOL) has become a relevant measure of efficacy in clinical trials. It s use is spreading, and it s importance is growing as a valid indicator of effectiveness of a treatment (1). In 1985, QOL, recommended by Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is one of the primary efficacy parameters as a basis for approval of anticancer drugs. Some scholars in China are also interested in establishing a related parameter for measuring efficacy of new drugs in view of QOL (2). Without question, to improve QOL is one of the main goals in health care and social work.Suggested Citation
