This report discusses the outcomes of a project that investigated evidence-based practices for parents with mental illness and their families by identifying and systematically describing existing interventions. Findings from two studies indicate that family-centered, strengths-based values and practices may be the key to program success and improved outcomes for parents and children.

Prepared for the Center for Mental Health Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Rockville, MD.
