What does Math Have To Do With Reading

Abstract

Elementary students must be able to read in order to do content area material. Integration of reading and math can make the teaching of either subject more fun. Using narrative materials to teach math can help overcome math negativity. The presentation includes steps and strategies for improving comprehension in math and reading.
