Inferring the characteristics of an arsonist from crime scene actions: a case study in offender profiling

Abstract

Discusses the use of psychological models of offender behaviour in providing assistance to a police investigation of a series of arsons. Analysis of crime scene and spatial behavior of the offender; Role in providing estimates of the home location of the suspect based on crime locations.
