Dr. Karrie Swan joined the faculty in Counseling Education at Kansas state
University in 2012. She has a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of North
Texas, an M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of North Texas, and a B.S. in Politics,
Philosophy, and Economics from Eastern Oregon University. She is a Licensed Professional
Counseler in Idaho and Texas, a certified school counselor in the state of Texas, and a
Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy. Dr. Swan's
research interests include play therapy, counseling supervision, and teacher-child
relationships.
