Property Rights and Incentives in Africa

Abstract

In this podcast I discuss some of my field work over the past three years, including work in Rwanda on the growth of the specialty coffee industry and the role of economic liberalization in promoting reconciliation. I also discuss a study of property titling in Langa Township, South Africa and some of the effects of this program on local people and the local economy.
