In my role as Information Literacy and Staff Development Librarian at McMaster, I
work to enhance and assess library teaching and learning programs, services and spaces. I
played a lead role in the Library’s successful transition to a blended service model by
creating, designing, implementing and evaluating an eight-month training program for
library paraprofessionals. I have led numerous projects, including launching communities
of practice for the McMaster community, coordinating McGill University Library's
Discover McGill outreach program, and co-chairing the WILU 2010 conference.

In 2010, I facilitated the implementation of Ontario's Undergraduate and Graduate
Degree Level Expectations and the new Quality Assurance Framework during an eleven-month
secondment to the Council of Ontario Universities. The project web site, webinars and
briefs are available from the links on the right hand side of this page.

I have ten years of experience in Canadian university libraries with a record of
successfully implementing major strategic initiatives and creating community. I am the
first Canadian to be selected to join the faculty of the Association of College and
Research Libraries' (ACRL) Information Literacy Immersion programs. I am currently
pursuing doctoral studies on a part-time basis in Library and Information Science at the
University of Western Ontario.
