About Karen Naufel

Karen Naufel received her Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas in May 2007 in Experimental Psychology. Her research interests are in the area of applied social cognition. She also has strong interests in ethics in research, metacognition, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She teaches introductory psychology courses, undergraduate and graduate research methods courses, health psychology, and cognitive psychology. Her accomplishments in teaching have been recognized at the university level, with the 2014-15 Award for Excellence in Instruction, and nationally, with the 2010 Jane S. Halonen Early Career Teaching Award from the Society for the Teaching of Psychology.
