A member of the SIT Graduate Institute faculty since 1988, Karen Blanchard developed
and taught SIT Graduate Institute’s first course in conflict transformation. She has
managed programs for the US Peace Corps and the Intergovernmental Organization for
Migration in Switzerland and Eastern Europe, and has consulted for the Karuna Center for
Peacebuilding on a project in Bosnia. She currently teaches a course entitled Journeys of
Forgiveness at SIT Graduate Institute and also directs a short-term training program for
Southeast Asian development professionals.
