Kannan Sethuraman is an experienced consultant, researcher and teacher who
specialises in operations management, manufacturing and new product development.
Prior to joining MBS, Kannan held academic positions at the University of Michigan
Business School at Ann Arbor, and at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. A
highly respected teacher and facilitator, in 2003, 2006, 2007 Kannan was recognised with
the MBS Teaching Excellence Award.
Kannan's fields of interest and expertise include application of operations
management principles in the healthcare industry, transfer of lean manufacturing
practices to the service sector, and supply chain management.
Kannan's research publications have appeared in reputed international journals such
as Management Science, European Journal of Operational Research, and the International
Journal of Operations and Production Management. In addition, he has presented his work
at conferences both in Australia and internationally.
