Justin Kerner works as a judicial law clerk, serving the Honorable Mary L. Cooper of
the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. In his capacity as a
judicial law clerk, he drafts opinions concerning intellectual property law,
administrative law, environmental law, state law claims relating to tort and contract
law, and federal civil procedure. He previously served as the judicial law clerk for the
Honorable Michael J. Koury, Jr. of the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas.
Mr. Kerner also currently works as an adjunct professor at The College of New Jersey,
where he teaches a course entitled "Legal and Regulatory Environment of
Business". He has lectured at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social
Policy and Practice and at Villanova University's School of Law. Semiannually, he
grades essays for and provides feedback to bar examination applicants for Bar/Bri of
Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
During the 2013/14 term, Mr. Kerner will clerk for the Hon. Robert E. Cowen of the United
States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
