About Juliette Tinker

Dr. Juliette Tinker joined the faculty of the Department of Biological Sciences at Boise State University in 2005. She has a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Iowa and from 2000-2004 was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Dr. Tinker's research interests are in vaccine development and pathogenic bacteriology. Her lab is currently working on the development of non-toxic 'Vibrio cholerae' and 'Escherichia coli' enterotoxins as adjuvants for mucosal vaccines, the characterization of bacterial enterotoxin intracellular host trafficking, the identification and characterization of novel bacterial enterotoxins from Gram negative pathogens, and the characterization of the antibacterial activity of zinc oxide nanoparticles.
