Julie-Ann Paredes BA(Hons)(SCU) Julie-Ann Paredes graduated from Southern Cross University BArts (Hons 1) in 2011 and was awarded the University Medal (School of Arts and Social Science). Currently a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney, she tutors Indigenous students through ITAS at SCU and mentors Indigenous High School students through the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience. Research interests include the form and agency of acts of decolonisation; cross-cultural and historical Australian literature; Island studies; feminism; and the site of Book Clubs in contemporary urban spaces.
