Dr. Judy Jeng received Ph. D. in library and information science from Rutgers
University in 2006. Prior to joining the faculty at San José State University in 2011,
she has taught at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Clarion University of
Pennsylvania, and Rutgers University. 

Dr. Jeng publishes and presents widely. Her present research interests are usability of
digital library, information retrieval, and cataloging. 

Dr. Jeng is an experienced digital library evaluation consultant. She has evaluated three
digital libraries – Moving Image Collections, New Jersey Digital Highway, and NJVid. 

Dr. Jeng is an experienced technical services librarian, collection and budget manager,
and a library administrator. 

Dr. Jeng is active in international relations. She is currently the Chair of
International Library Education Special Interest Group of Association for Library and
Information Science Education (ALISE), member on the Acquisition and Collection
Development Standing Committee of International Federation of Library Associations and
Institutions (IFLA), and on the editorial board of IFLA's journal International
Cataloguing & Bibliographic Control.
