A native of Perú, Juan José Martinez's own research interests are in the area of economic regulation, corporate law and law & economics. He obtained his law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, where he also obtained a master degree in Economics and received a master of laws degree from University of New York. He teaches Law & Economics at the Universidad del Pacífico.
