Jacqui graduated with a BA in 1998, an MSc in 1990 and a PhD in 1993, all from the University of Warwick, UK. Her PhD was on Kac-Moody groups. After winning the BH Neumann Prize at the AustMS conference in Perth in 1991, Jacqui accepted a Lectureship at Newcastle (Australia) just before she graduated. She has since worked on operator algebras arising from group actions on buildings, Hecke algebras, and topological groups. Jacqui moved to the University of Wollongong as Associate Professor in 2007 and was promoted to the role of Professor in 2010 Field of Study: Geometric and functional analysis.
