About Joseph Audie

Joesph Audie, Ph.D. is Professor of Chemistry in the College of Arts & Sciences at Sacred Heart University. Dr. Audie's research interests and activities are primarily focused on: (1) developing a theoretical understanding of protein-protein and protein-peptide recognition (2) developing computational methods to predict and explain protein-protein and protein-peptide interactions and (3) applying computational methods to identify and optimize peptide-based and peptide-derived drug leads.
Additionally, Professor Audie is interested in exploring and understanding the relationship between faith and reason, especially as it pertains to the relationship between modern empirical science, Aristotelean philosophy and Thomistic theology.
Professor Audie was awarded tenure by the Board of Trustees in May 2013.
