About Jonathan McMurry

I am the Associate Vice President for Research and a Professor of Biochemistry. Charged with helping to build the research environment at KSU, I work with KSU faculty and students to build sustainable research programs, develop competitive grant proposals, and protect and market intellectual property. A lab rat at heart, I also maintain an externally-funded research program, delighting not only in the pursuit of discovery, but also in helping to recruit and train the next generation of scientists. I am director of the Peach State Bridges to the Doctorate program, which seeks to increase the diversity of the biomedical research workforce by providing innovative training for students from underrepresented groups and disadvantaged backgrounds. If I can be of service to you in any of these areas (or if you're looking for a squash partner - I'm a 4.0 player), please do not hesitate to contact me.
