Johnny is an Instructional Technologist & Designer - and a tech savvy creator of
digital content looking for opportunities to put theory into practice in a classroom
setting and behind the scenes. He hardly ever talks about himself in the 3rd person.

As Assistant Professor / Distance Learning Librarian for Kennesaw State I work to support
the library and research needs of distance learners and faculty at KSU as well other
departments with those aims.

I also work with other librarians to create, and facilitate the development of learning
objects that meet the needs of our audience - students and faculty. I have 5 years of
experience as an academic librarian in progressively responsible roles that have
included: designing and delivering instruction based on instructional design principles,
analyzing and implementing new technology projects, adoption and diffusion of library
teaching and communication technologies, web design, and creation, project management,
and delivery of educational objects through various platforms.

As an Instructional Designer I have worked designing workshops and best practice guides
to help KSU’s faculty create rewarding and engaging online learning experiences.

As a newbie to the instruction design field, I also enjoy exploring freelance jobs of all
kinds in my spare time and teaching freshman studies courses online.
