Dr. John Youngsman is a Research Assistant Professor with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. A former Boise State student, Dr. Youngsman earned both a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a MS in Materials Science. While at Boise State he distinguished himself by participating in a variety of research activities and co-authoring several publications and presentations. Dr. Youngsman continued his studies at Washington State University, earning a Ph.D. in Engineering Science in May 2009. He is currently working with Boise State’s Advanced Materials Lab which conducts research on materials processing and performance in extreme environments.
