About John D Wladis

John D. Wladis is Emeritus Professor at Delaware Law School. Professor Wladis received an A.B. from Hamilton College in 1969 and a J.D. from Yale Law School in 1972.

Following graduation from law school, Professor Wladis served as Confidential Clerk for the Honorable Matthew J. Jasen, New York State Court of Appeals, Albany, New York, 1973, Attorney, Buffalo, 1973-76; Assistant Professor, Western New England, 1976-79, Associate Professor, Western New England, 1979-82.

Professor Wladis joined the faculty at Delaware Law School as Associate Professor of Law and has served in that capacity since 1982. Professor Wladis is admitted to practice in New York, and he teaches and writes in the areas of Contracts, Sales and Leases, Payment Systems, and Secured Transactions.

Professor Wladis has been active in a number of professional and civic organizations, including the American Bar Association, Business Law Section, Uniform Commercial Code Committee; Member Subcommittee on Revisions to UCC Article 2; Member Delaware Bar Association, Subcommittee to Study Revisions to UCC Article 8; Presenter Delaware Bar Association CLE Program on Revised UCC Article 8.
