Growth of the Constitutions of the Daughters of Charity

Abstract
Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac provided a rule of life for the Daughters of Charity, followed later by the principal governmental aspects of the community. These were called the Primitive Statutes. This study reviews the history of this text and presents some of the difficulties that arose because of it.
