John Page is an Assistant Professor of Law at Bond University, Gold Coast. Before
joining Bond University, John was a Lecturer in property law at the University of New
England (UNE) from 2004-2010. Prior to joining academe in 2004, John was a practising
solicitor, specialising in commercial and property law. In 2001, he received
accreditation as a Property Law Specialist from the Law Society of New South Wales. John
has undergraduate degrees in Arts and Laws and a Masters Degree in Laws from the
University of Queensland. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from
UNE. He is presently a doctoral student at the T.C. Beirne School of Law at the
University of Queensland, his thesis topic being ‘Towards a Sustainable Paradigm for
Property’. 

John’s teaches Property Law at Bond University. His areas of research interest include
property law; property rights; the nature of property rights in public lands and natural
resources; private, common, and public property theory; environmental law; and legal
history.
