Qualifications Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - University of Sydney Bachelor of Laws - Bond University Joel is admitted to practice on the Rolls of Queensland, NSW and the High Court of Australia. Prior to taking up a position on the faculty of Law at Bond University, he practiced with Baker & McKenzie in their Sydney office, was executive officer to the Dean at the Sydney law School, and filled a number of policy positions, including for state and federal Ministers. Joel's specialty areas of practice and research are industrial and employment law and occupational health and safety law, as well as jurisprudence and the interdisciplinary areas of law and politics and law and religion. He is completing postgraduate work in the law faculty at the University of Sydney. His commentary is regularly published in journals and periodicals across Australia.
