Abstract
Patient education is an integral part of the practice of all health professionals. To aspire to professionalism requires the individual to obtain and maintain a body of skills and knowledge that they can profess to the world at large. Patient education is a primary healthcare role in which nurses and other healthcare professionals disseminate their knowledge to the community.
