About Jimmy Kijai

Malaysian by birth, Jimmy currently teaches graduate level courses in research and statistical methods. He is a former high school science/math teacher. He has taught in Thailand, Kenya, Tanzania, Costa Rica, Jamaica and Trinidad. He is married to Lucia and has three grown sons. He enjoys photography, and playing racquetball and golf.
Current Research or Professional Activities:
Jimmy is a member of the American Educational Research Association and the National Council on Measurement in Education. His research interests center around school effects. He is currently the Principal Investigator for a research on college experiences of Adventist students in Adventist and non-Adventist colleges and universities in North America. Most recently, he was principal investigator on a survey of student engagement in four Asian Adventist universities.
