About Jean Wyatt

Professor Wyatt is professor of English and Comparative Literary Studies at Occidental College, where in 2003 she received the Sterling Award for outstanding teaching and scholarship. She is the author of two books -- most recently, Risking Difference: Identification, Race and Community in Contemporary Fiction and Feminism (2004). She has written articles on multicultural communities and on contemporary American authors Margaret Atwood, Sandra Cisneros, and Toni Morrison. Many of her writings explore the intersections of gender, race, and psychoanalysis.
