Jason Puckett is Communication Librarian and Assistant Professor at Georgia State University Library. He holds a Master of Library and Information Studies degree from Florida State University and a BA in English from GSU. Puckett serves as the subject liaison librarian for the Georgia State University Department of Communication, providing teaching and research support for undergraduate programs in Journalism and Speech, and graduate and faculty Communication researchers. His research interests include the role of open source software in libraries, and information issues surrounding digital rights management. Puckett also teaches and writes about the reference management program Zotero, and since 2009 he has co-produced a podcast about information literacy instruction in libraries. He teaches continuing education courses for Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science.
