Dr Janie Smith joined the Faculty of Health Science and Medicine at Bond University in
February 2012 as the Associate Professor (Medical Education) and Academic Lead. She is a
highly experienced health educationalist and project manager who has worked extensively
in national curriculum development, program accreditation, educational resource
development, policy development, organisational review, Indigenous health and research.
She works across the health disciplines - medicine, nursing, pharmacy, allied health, and
in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. 

For 7 years she ran her own national company - RhED Consulting Pty Ltd - where she
undertook over 45 consultancies for health departments, universities, professional
colleges, government and not for profit organisations. She previously worked at James
Cook University developing their first Bachelor of Pharmacy curriculum and with the Royal
Australian College of General Practitioners as their National Education Development
Officer for 4 years.
