About Jamsheer J Talati

Specializing in Kidney stone diseases, Professor Jamsheer Talati is a Teacher, Surgeon, Educationist, Editor and Writer.
He graduated MBBS from Karachi University and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. A former Chair of Surgery at Holy Family Hospital, and co-Director at Liaquat National Hospital, where he started the School of Nursing, he joined the Aga Khan University in 1985, and continues, currently as Professor Emeritus.
He was the founding editor of Pakistan Journal of Surgery, started in 1985. He is a Senior Editor of the International Journal of Surgery. Author of many peer reviewed publications and chapters in books, he has a keen interest in education and the shaping of the development of health professionals in ways to improve health delivery; and research in kidney stone and parathyroid disease. He was a Director at Large of FAIMER (the Foundation for the Advancement of International Medical Education and Research); and recently a panelist on the Societie International Urologie’s International consultation on Urological Disease –Stone disease, 2014
