About James M Reecy

Reecy joined Iowa State University in 1999. Since then, his research has focused on the molecular and quantitative genetics of beef cattle, as well as early heart development, skeletal muscle growth and livestock bioinformatics. Reecy is especially interested in the genetic information on cattle. Through this research and selective breeding, Reecy is optimistic that beef can become a more healthful food within a few years by using genetic information.
