Istadi specialises in Catalysis for Energy Conversion and Plasma Reactor. Typically
he works on development and application of heterogeneous catalyst for Energy Conversion,
i.e. Biomass to Fuel, Waste to Fuels, as well as application of Plasma Reactor for Energy
Conversion. He received his undergraduate and postgraduate education in Chemical
Engineering at Diponegoro University and Institut Teknologi Bandung, respectively (B.Eng.
1995, M.Eng. 2000). He continued his postgraduate studies in Catalyst and Plasma Reactor
Development for Methane Conversion at Faculty of Chemical and Natural Resources
Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) (Ph.D. 2006). Currently he is a lecturer
(Associate Professor) at Department of Chemical Engineering, Diponegoro University. Now,
Dr. Istadi has focused on the Energy Conversion Engineering and Management.
