A native of Bolivia, Ignacio Aguirre Urioste's own research interests are in the area of civil and commercial law, enviromental law and law and economics. He received his law degree from the Universidad Católica Boliviana San Pablo, where he teaches environmental law. He also received a master's in law degree with honours from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
