Abstract

Dr. Spear and colleagues, Dr. Kim Carter and Katrina Watson emphasized the importance of using various research strategies to gain insight and knowledge about the multidimensional topic of teenage pregnancy and related demographic, psychosocial, cultural, and behavioral issues. A meta-analysis of published studies, a qualitative inquiry, and a descriptive survey study were presented. The qualitative and descriptive survey studies may be read in their entirety. Following are the citations for these studies: • Spear, H. J. (2001). Teenage pregnancy: “Having a baby won’t affect me that much.” Pediatric Nursing, 27(6), 574-580. • Carter, K.F. & Spear, H. J.
