Dr Dam holds PhD and Master degrees in Computer Science from RMIT University and a
Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Melbourne. His PhD thesis on
proposing a novel agent-oriented approach to support change propagation in the evolution
of software systems was highly commended by external examiners as "strongly
competitive at international levels". His research has been published in the top
venues in AI and intelligent agents (AAMAS, JAAMAS), software maintenance and evolution
(ICSM), service-oriented computing (ICSOC) and enterprise computing (EDOC). Dr Dam has
taught Software Engineering courses at RMIT International University Vietnam and has
extensive work experience in the industry as a technical architect, project manager and
software engineer. Dr Dam has been lecturing in Software Engineering in the School of
Computer Science and Software Engineering (SCSSE) UOW since 2009.
