Abstract

This undergraduate political science text presents important concepts for analyzing war and peace decision making, followed by a series of case studies focusing on the causes of a number of pivotal wars and the construction of peaceful settlements. A final section provides a summary to prompt critical thinking about rival approaches to peacemaking in contemporary international politics. The jacket and title page say Bedford/St. Martin's, but Wadsworth now owns their political science books. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
