A Modern Mansfieldian Jury: The Global Reinsurance Roundtable on Model Wordings 2006
Abstract
As background for counsel seeking to interpret reinsurance contracts, this article extracts and comments on observations of conferees familiar with the subject on the number and sources of so-called model clauses used in drafting reinsurance contracts and the uses made of them, in whole, in part and with modifications to serve the purposes of brokers and underwriters. It indicates the occasional importance of finding the source of the clause and learning who made any changes in it and why.
