Geoff Moulton is an Emeritus Professor at Delaware Law School. Professor Moulton received a B.A. from Amherst College in 1980, and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1984, where he served as Managing Editor of the Columbia Law Review.

Following graduation from law school, Professor Moulton clerked for Wilfred Feinberg, U.S.C.A., 2d Circuit, New York City, NY, from 1984-85. He then clerked for William H. Rehnquist, U.S. Supreme Court, Washington, DC, from 1985-86, served as Special Counsel to Assistant Attorney General, Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justice, Washington, DC, in 1988, and as Assistant U.S. Attorney, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, from 1986-90. Professor Moulton was in private practice with Kohn, Klein, Nast & Graf, P.C., Philadelphia, PA, from 1990-92, and with Dechert, Price & Rhoads, Philadelphia, PA, 1992-93. He served as Project Director, Waco Administrative Review, U.S. Department of the Treasury, Washington, DC, in 1993.

Professor Moulton was on leave from the Law School from August 2001 through August 2005, serving in the U.S. Department of Justice as First Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He was on leave again from 2009 through June 2011, this time in Washington, D.C., serving first as Chief Counsel to United States Senator Ted Kaufman (Delaware) and then as Chief of Staff and Deputy Special Inspector General for the Office of the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program.

Professor Moulton, who is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, joined the faculty at Widener as Associate Professor of Law in 1993. Professor Moulton teaches and writes in the areas of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, White Collar Crime, and Evidence.

Professor Moulton has been active in a number of professional and civic organizations, including the Natural Lands Trust, the region’s largest, non-profit conservation organization.
