Dr. Gary Moncrief is a University Foundation Research Scholar and Professor of
Political Science at Boise State University. He also serves as the undergraduate
political science Internship Director. 

Dr. Moncrief received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa
Barbara and his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. In addition to serving on the BSU
faculty for over 30 years, he has been a visiting professor at the University of
Washington and Rutgers University. Dr. Moncrief has published four books and more than 50
journal articles and book chapters on various aspects of state politics -- especially
state legislatures. Dr. Moncrief is a frequent speaker at meetings and workshops for
state officials around the country.
