Gabriel C. Lajeunesse writes and researches on topics related to international criminal law, the Middle East and national security policy. Lieutenant Colonel Gabriel C. Lajeunesse is the Commander of Detachment 522, Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Incirlik Air Base, Republic of Turkey. He serves as the focal point for criminal and counterintelligence activities supporting 39th Air Base Wing and the Department of Defense in southeast Turkey. As a career Special Agent for the AFOSI, Lt Col Lajeunesse has investigated domestic and transnational crimes affecting US national security interests, to include international terrorism and illegal technology transfer. He has previously commanded units at Tallil AB, Iraq and Hill AFB, Utah. Lt Col Lajeunesse has served as a policy planner on Middle East issues for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force. Lt Col Lajeunesse is a native of New Hampshire and was commissioned from the Air Force ROTC program at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. Lt Col Lajeunesse is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, (1993) and has been awarded a Masters degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School (2000) and a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center (2008).
