About Frederic H. Wagner

I am a native Texan, I received my B.S. in Biology at Southern Methodist University, my M.S. in Wildlife Management as well as my Ph.D. in Zoology at the University of Wisconsin. Currently I am Professor Emeritus at Utah State University where I was Associate Dean of the College of Natural Resources and Director of The Ecology Center at the time of my retirement. Between 1998 and 2003, I coordinated the Congressionally-ordered 9-state Rocky Mountain-Great Basin Regional Climate-change Assessment. My professional expertise is in the ecology of animal populations, the ecology of desert ecosystems, management of natural resources, and natural resources policy.
