Flavia Santinoni Vera serves as a pivotal figure in the development of law and
economics in Brazil. She holds a degree in law and a degree in economics from the
Universidade de Brasília. She went on to complete a master's degree in law and a
doctorate in law at Boalt Hall, University of California law school at Berkeley, where
she was an Organization of American States scholar. She is completing her postgraduate
studies at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She teaches at the Instituto Brasiliense de
Direito Público, and lectures in law and economics at the Universidade do Legislativo
Brasileiro.
