My research agenda is shaped by two themes: my moral commitment to egalitarianism, and my interest in understanding diachronically and synchronically the structure of the Rule of Law. While my concern with political philosophy stems from the former, my involvement with legal history and jurisprudence emerges from the latter. Constitutional theory functions as a focal point for both threads.
