A native of Mexico, Fernando Villaseñor Rodríguez's own research interests are in the area of Asian studies, comparative constitutional law, legal theory and integration law. He received his law degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho, where he teaches legal history and comparative law, and has a master's degree in Asian and African Studies from El Colegio de México.
